 MORE ABOUT THIS RESORT IN THE UBAYEAll the advantages of a big resort in an opulent landscape above Barcelonnette, opposite the Pain de Sucre and below the Grande Séolane !
Created at the end of the 50s by Pierre Grouès, a philanthropic doctor, decided to create a ski resort to develop the village's activity. Assisted by the best specialists of the time, the famous skier Emile Allais and Honoré Bonnet, the well-known trainer of the French ski team, the resort took shape in 1960 on a site where there was only one inhabited inn, the auberge de Pra-Loup, in complete autarky with its own mill and oven.
Today, the skilifts installed in the heart of the resort give you access to the wide ski area of l’Espace Lumière : 180 km of runs to discover as you ski through larch-forests, three superb valleys and the neighbouring resort of Val d'Allos.
With a higher than average number of sunny days, a multitude of activities, a large number of infrastructures for your comfort, and in the evening, in the twinkling lights, a variety of attractions: boutiques, pubs, restaurants, discotheques, skating-rink, cinema, amusement arcade...

MOUNTAIN-BIKERS' PARADISE |
- Bike Park : designed by Jean-Miche Bayle, three times World Motorbike Champion, nicknamed JMB 111 ! 3 hybrid routes with a touch of artificial elements and a pinch of common sense to use the natural environment in the best possible way with a difference in height of 300 m : footbridges, monkey bridge, tipping bridges, berms, woops, traverses and rollovers, change of slope and narrow route through the larches, exits, jump or wheeling. cable-car. - Downhill trail: 4 km, 535 m height difference between 2.135 and 1.600 m, theatre of the 200 World Championships and the 2001 World Cup. Accessible by cable-car in July and August.
